Hello from NYC,
Rick, Corey and I made it back to New York this evening around 7:30 after about 17 hours of flight time. To say the least, we are all exhausted but still floating high from all the great things we experienced on the trip. We did get a report on the second well on Tuesday evening and they were able to drill an additional 19 feet but still had not reached the water table. That put them at 65 feet as of Tuesday evening. We have not heard from them today so not sure what the status is but am expecting to hear they reached the water.
Brother Joseph accompanied us back to Nairobi mainly to protect us but to also get the one remaining box that did not arrive with the other items. That box included a 6" stubber, one of the drill bits used occasionally. Our departing remarks were made last night with Joseph and it was a special time as we reflected on the trip as well as all he did to assist us with the arrangements.
Rick and I will be back in OKC tomorrow afternoon and ready to sleep in our own beds. I have many pictures to review and hope to post pictures this weekend. Corey is a professional photographer and works for the NY Post newspaper on weekends. So, he was able to capture some amazing shots.
I will post again tomorrow evening hopefully with great news.
God Bless you.
