Hello Everyone,
Well, it is Monday and it has been non-stop since arriving back home on Thursday afternoon at 4pm. As you know, three of us had to leave Kenya before the 2nd well was completed. So, I wanted to provide you with an update on the situation there. I talked with Caleb on Friday afternoon and he shared that they had drilled down to about 70 feet and was starting to see some water seep into the hole. Not much so the plans were to continue drilling until they had ample supply of water in the borehole to take care of the people in the area. Still not sure how deep they were going to need to go. Unfortunately, after Caleb and Kemp had returned to the hotel that evening, they received a call from the village that one of the drilling tools, a 5" stubber, had broken and fallen into the well. Not sure how that happened but it has caused the operation to stop until it can be retrieved from the well. Caleb did go back out there Saturday morning before they had to return to Nairobi for home. They were not able to retrieve it on Saturday and know that Joseph and Chris were going to be back out there this morning to try again and bring the tool back up to the surface. I have not had an update today so I don't know whether they have been successful or not. Please pray with us that the men are able to recover the tool and continue drilling until there is enough water in place to provide adequate water for the villagers.
Thanks to everyone that has providing funds for the trip as well as all of the prayers. We were so blessed by the experience and have begun seeing many more opportunities for ministry in Kenya.
Keep watching the blogsite as I will post more once we see the well to completion.
May God grant you favor each day as you serve Him.
God Bless You.
