Dear Friends and Supporters,
I hope this message finds everyone doing well and being blessed by God’s grace and love. I am excited to share details with you about my next great adventure. As many of you know, I had the privilege to go to Kenya in 2009 with Reaching Souls International where we had the opportunity to train pastors and evangelists from throughout Kenya. While there, I became close friends with Evangelist Joseph Ogwang and have developed quite a strong bond with him. We have been in much prayer that God would open up other opportunities for us to minister together. As I was preparing to go to Peru back in March to drill for water, God began laying upon Joseph’s heart about the possibility of a team coming to Kenya to do the same. As he shared with me what God was speaking to him, I too, was hearing God’s calling to go to Kenya.
The time is now here. This Saturday, I will join Water4 (www.water4.org) in taking a team to Kenya for the purpose of drilling water wells in remote villages. We will arrive in Nairobi, Kenya on Monday and travel from there to the city of Kisumu in SW Kenya where we have identified two locations in great need of clean, fresh water.
In the email message with the letter, I give you a website where you can get a sense of what it is like to have fresh, clean water for the first time. That is what it is all about. We bring them fresh water which then provides a way for us to share the Living Water through Jesus Christ to the multitudes. PTL!
As the day arrives, I would like to ask a favor from each of you. There are several needs that we have as we prepare to depart and while we are there in Kenya. First and foremost, we need your prayers. We need your prayers for safety, health, good weather for drilling, good soil conditions in order to produce 2 good wells, good travel connections and accommodations. Be much in prayer for the people we will be working with and ministering to in the Kisumu and Nyando area of SW Kenya. Brother Joseph has prepared the people well for our coming and he has great plans for times of worship and praise and celebration. Pray specifically for those men that will be helping us drill as well as learning the process so they can then go out and drill wells themselves. Pray for the ones that will be preparing the food for us. Pray for the church that is providing us with a van for transportation.
Pray for the team members going and their families while away:
Brad Adams Caleb Halsey (Water4)
Rick Buckles Kemp and Kim Ward (Water4)
Corey Melton
I also urge you to prayerfully consider supporting this effort with a financial contribution toward the expense of drilling materials, permit fees and travel expenses. The outstanding need is approximately $3200, but don’t let that number intimidate you. Pray about it first, and then give only what you feel led to give. As with the 5 loaves and two fishes, God can multiply even the smallest gift to meet the biggest of needs, to share His truth, and to change lives.
Contributions can be mailed to my home address at 916 Eagle Ridge Run, Tuttle, Oklahoma 73089. Checks should be made payable to Brad Adams.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and support. I look forward to sharing with each of you the results of our trip to Kenya,
May God bless you beyond measure today.
In Christ Name,
Brad Adams
